Type: Temporary, Exempt, Full-time.
Location: San Francisco or Oakland, CA. This is a hybrid role that is required to work in the office 2 days a week.

Compensation and Benefits: $1,380 per week, for a maximum of 7 weeks. This position is not eligible for health, retirement, or other benefits.
The Opportunity
Asian Law Caucus (ALC) is seeking a summer law clerk to support the worker’s rights program in summer 2025. As a Legal Aid Leaders Summer Law Clerk, there will be additional training and support offered through the State Bar and Change Lawyers Foundation.
As we see rollbacks of federal workplace rights and increased vulnerabilities for immigrant workers, our legal team is working to strengthen worker power and defend labor protections for Asian and Pacific Islander communities.
Join our dynamic team in advocating for economic justice through a combination of community-centered legal advocacy, strategic litigation, and support for worker organizing. Our program works closely with worker centers and community partners to build lasting power for low-income immigrant workers.
Responsibilities
Day-to-day activities include the following:
Assignments may include conducting legal research, client intake interviews, offering brief advice during our bimonthly clinics, drafting declarations, researching and drafting court filings such as briefs and motions, attending hearings and policy meetings, developing “Know Your Rights” materials, and drafting letters in support of or opposing pending local and state bills.
